About Me

From my earliest days in Historic Lexington, Massachusetts, Art has always been a part of my life.   I was always drawing or doodling in class and even got a detention in elementary school for combining my love of drawing animals with a portrait of a teacher whom I was not too fond of.

Pre-Veterinary classes in college strengthen my love of nature and animals.  However, I didn’t start painting till after college. I chose oil paints because my mother had become a hobby artist and she had all of the equipment for me to join her. As with many people, work and raising three kids forced a sabbatical on my painting though it never extinguished my love of animals and nature or my desire to paint.

Retiring several years ago provided time to learn painting with acrylics and other new techniques.  I won a first prize in an Artist Exhibition in Franklin, MA at the Franklin Art Association Spring Show in 2016 and sold that same painting at the event.

Selling my house in New England and traveling with my husband in a van for three years has provided more opportunity to get back to nature and to painting.

I am continuing to learn and grow my skills as an artist and my work can be seen at the St. Augustine Art Association Gallery at the monthly art shows on 22 Marine St., St. Augustine, Florida.
